Questions and Answers
Who is Savvy Sisters? For years, Savvy Sisters and before it, our partner organization The Wealth Club have provided financial literacy workshops for WSG students and their families. Our goal is to demystify how people learn and play the money game and increase the number of mother/daughter teams who play the game well. At Savvy Sisters, we believe financial literacy should begin early—when minds are open, habits are forming, and learning is full of joy.

What has Savvy Sisters done lately in the realm of financial literacy? Consistent with our mission, we created The Money Adventures of Grandma Deer and Her Grand Deer books. These books are a heartwarming and educational early reader series designed for young readers to master the basics of money matters. We seek to help families build strong money habits from the very beginning!
What is the Stepping Stones To Multigenerational Wealth Program? This program gives mothers and daughters of WSG an opportunity to have access to information and experts in the field of financial literacy. Together, mothers and daughters thoroughly explore their own savings and spending habits, develop family goals, create saving plans, eliminating debt (if any), establish wealth, and carryout action plans that enable them to be successful in money management for generations to come.
How will the classes be presented? Once a week for three months over the summer, families will be offered fun and new workshops on financial literacy topics. In many cases these workshops will be self-paced, meaning you can access them as a family when you want as a powerpoint and complete the activities within a week timeframe. At least once a month we will meet via zoom, and at least once a month you will meet with your personal coach. Twice over the summer, all of the mother/daughter teams will meet together for an overnight stay at a local hotel. Your room will be paid for and you will share it with your daughter. The day will start super early on Saturday and continue until later afternoon Sunday. It will be an entire weekend focused on your wealth projects and learning more! The fun begins in June and we continue through the middle of September. When you finish the program you are eligible for more through the alumni group, as we believe the journey to financial literacy never ends. We are here for you!

What are the goals of the Stepping Stones project? By the end of this summer you will: understand and share your money story, appreciate how your mindset can influence your wealth plan, create a family plan with time-phased and measurable goals around health and family welfare, vacations, debt management, and future you - the financially fit family, create and initiate your family plan for savings, play education, monthly living costs, wellbeing, and financial freedom.

What is the cost of this program? The cost of the program is your commitment, time and full effort. We want to help you transform your life and that of your child for generations to come. You will need to commit to the workshops, completing the activities and active involvement. You will have to find transportation to our convenient hotel for the “retreat” sessions and plan to stay until the end of each session. You will work on projects together with your daughter and most importantly give Savvy Sisters feedback on how the program is working for you through a survey process.
